It’s an established thesis in sales contexts that it’s both easier and cheaper to retain existing customers than to obtain new ones.

The reason this is true is down to human nature. You have a far greater chance of meeting individual customers’ needs when you know something about them. This forms the basis of most of what PAR does.

We think that the same approach should apply to both existing and prospective customers. The information you possess about your existing customers will usually give a fair indication of who your prospective customers might be. We call this “New business intelligence”. Or the art of obtaining new business.
